Everyone with a connection to the Lackawanna Trail community including educators, alumni, family, and friends is invited to get involved with LTEF. Simple ways you can start making an impact include:
Join Our Alumni Association – Register for free at AlumniTookit to join our Lackawanna Trail Alumni Association. Your information will not be shared with anyone, but registering will put you on the invitation list for our annual Alumni Homecoming Family Picnic and other events. Once registered, you can volunteer ways you would like to connect with other alumni and support Trail youth.
Volunteer – LTEF is a 100% volunteer organization that thrives on the generosity and good will of the entire Trail community. We welcome help in all shapes and sizes! We are currently actively seeking the following:
- Event Planners – Our annual Alumni Homecoming Family Picnic is our biggest event. We seek alumni who love planning and helping hosting fun family events? If you would like to organize and lead a committee for our alumni events, please contact us!
- Graphic Artists/Web Designers and Administrators – Can you design logos, flyers, great web pages, online ads and splash pages? LTEF needs you!
- Mentors/Coaches – Any successful extracurricular program supported by LTEF takes off for one reason – adult volunteers who are willing to mentor and coach youth. If you have a passion for any activity that can enrich the lives of youth, consider supporting an existing program or helping launch a new program as a mentor or coach. Program areas of interest include job shadowing/internships, STEM, leadership/civics, fine arts/theater/music and cultural exchange.
- Directors – Help govern LTEF. Directors hold virtual meetings at least 4 times a year for strategic planning, review of current programs, fundraising coordination, and evaluation of new program proposals. If you have an interest in serving for a two year term, please email a short biography to secretary@ltefoundation.org
